Karl Stamic

Studied music as a pupil of his father Johan Wenzel (Jan Vaclav). Member of Manhnheim court orchestra.
As a violine and viola virtuoso concertized in Paris, London, Prague, throughout Germany, Austria and Russia.
Conductor and violin pedagogue. Used larger orchestra than his predecessors.
Composed 80 symphonies, a number of concertos for violin, viola, piano, cello. Wrote chamber music as well.
Dedicated to clarinet even 11 concertosThe most beautiful and famous are those in B flat major and E flat major.
