CARL MARIA VON WEBER

(1786—1826)

German composer and conductor. Prominent early romantic composer, inclined to expressive, pleasing melodics and opulent, coloristic orchestral sound.
The  most outstanding works were written in the field of opera; Der Freischütz (The Marksman) is considered the first true German national opera.

For Heinrich Bärmann,  a clarinet player, he composed Concertos in F minor and E flat major and Concertino in E flat major, considered even today as standard pieces in clarinet literature.
